How much will life insurance cost me?

Life Insurance premiums vary depending on your age, gender, whether you are a smoker or non-smoker, your health and the size of the death benefit you desire.

The cost also varies with the type of policy you buy. The most common plans in NZ are based on premiums that change each year with your age – as you get older the cost goes up. Other plans offer a premium that remains level for a set period e.g. 10years, 15, years, to age 70 or to age 80. These plan cost more initially, but save you a lot in later years.
